Carlotta, CA (October 13, 2021) – On Tuesday, two people suffered injuries in a vehicle crash on Highway 36 that also involves a deer.

The accident took place at 7:15 p.m. west of the Carlotta Post Office.

Officers said a vehicle struck a deer. Then, a second vehicle rear-ended the first.

Immediately, an ambulance took the two victims to the hospital. One of them with moderate and one with minor injuries.

The deer, on the other hand, fled the scene.
