2 Hospitalized after Wrong-Way Crash in the South Bay

SAN JOSE, CA (December 12, 2018) – On Wednesday morning, three vehicles were involved in a collision near Santana Row. The identity of the drivers involved have yet to be released to the public.

According to authorities, the crash occurred around 6:45 AM near Westfield Valley Fair Mall in South Bay.

As per reports, a female driver was traveling on the wrong side of the road on Stevens Creek near Winchester Boulevard, causing a collision with two vehicles. First responders transported the female and another one of the drivers to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation. Officials stated the woman sustained life-threatening injuries. Status on their current medical conditions have not been disclosed.

Due to the impact of the collision, lanes were temporarily closed along Stevens Creek between Winchester and N Henry Avenue. It is unknown if alcohol and drugs were contributing factors in the accident. No further details have been released, as the investigation continues.
