Two Hospitalized after Car Crash in Thousand Oaks

 
COLFAX, CA (December 20, 2018) – Two people were injured in a head-on collision on Highway 174, Thursday afternoon. The identities of the victims have not yet been released to the public.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 4:00 PM near Rollins Lake Road.
 
As per reports, two vehicles crashed in a head-on accident. Due to the impact of the accident, it caused one of the vehicles to roll off the embankment.
 
When first responders arrived at the scene of the accident, one person required extrication from their vehicle. There was a total of two victims and both were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and evaluation. Officers stated that both drivers suffered major injuries, however no other injuries were reported in the incident.
 
The highway was closed in both directions for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but reopened around 5:00 PM. Drugs and alcohol were not considered factors in the crash.
 
No further details have been released to the public, as the investigation continues.
