DUI Driver Involved in Major Crash on Lyon Avenue

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (July 19, 2019) – Two people sustained injuries after a DUI crash on Lyon Avenue, early Friday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place near the intersection of Ramona Boulevard at approximately 3:46 AM. In addition, an initial report described the involved vehicles as a grey Toyota Corolla and a white Chevy utility truck. As a result, the Toyota failed to stop at a posted stop sign at the intersection and struck the truck.
 
Medical personnel reported that they transported two victims inside the Toyota to Riverside University Health Medical Center’s Trauma Center in Moreno Valley for treatment. In addition, one underwent emergency surgery with major internal injuries.
 
The preliminary findings cited alcohol or drugs as a factor in this collision. However, the investigation is ongoing.
