2 Killed in Small Plane Crash near Minden-Tahoe Airport
MINDEN, NV (May 22, 2019) – Two people died after a plane headed to Minden-Tahoe Airport crashed into a field. Authorities withheld the identities of the victims, pending family notification.
According to Indiana State Police, the incident happened at about 12:45 PM. Due to unknown circumstances, a Cessna Citation 550 crashed about half a mile east of Indianapolis Regional Airport.
Emergency responders pronounced the pilot and one passenger dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
As per reports, the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the fatal accident. They will move the twin-engine aircraft to a secure location for a thorough examination. Additional information will be released following the conclusion of the investigation.
