2 Hurt, Trailer Flips in Collision in Apple Valley

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (March 5, 2019) – On Tuesday evening, two people were injured in a car accident involving a semi truck on Bear Valley Road.
 
According to officials, the crash happened around 5:05 PM near Pawnee Road. As per reports, authorities were dispatched to a major collision involving a semi truck. In addition, a four-door car had front end damage.
 
Due to the accident, it caused the 18-wheeler dry bulk trailer to overturn in the roadway. A third vehicle was damaged by flying debris. The cause of the accident is currently unknown.
 
The Apple Valley Fire Protection District firefighters reported to the scene. Soon after, they extricated the driver and the passenger of one of the vehicles. Helicopters H-80 and H-325 airlifted the two victims to St. Mary’s Medical Center. Their current medical condition is unknown at this time.
 
The identities of the victims have not been released to the public.
 
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened. There has been no further information released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time. An investigation continues.
