Homeless Man Dies in Pedestrian Crash at King Road and Rigoletto Drive
SAN JOSE, CA (August 4, 2019) – A homeless man was killed after being struck by a car Sunday evening in San Jose, police said.
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office identified the man as 45-year-old Tuan Ngoc Nguyen.
Around 9:29 p.m., Nguyen was crossing King Road near Rigoletto Drive when he was struck by a 2006 Toyota Corolla traveling northbound on the thoroughfare.
Responding paramedics took Nguyen to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, an adult male, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
It is unknown if charges has been filed and liability has not yet been determined. Further investigation is underway.
