STOCKTON, CA (December 16, 2019) — A 71-year-old woman perished Thursday night after a hit-and-run driver struck her on West Benjamin Holt Drive near Leesburg Place.
 
According to reports, the accident took place around 7:00 p.m. while Trinidad Cornelio made her way to Presentation Church for Mass.
 
That is when a driver of an unknown model, traveling eastbound on Benjamin Holt Drive, struck her. The driver of the vehicle failed to perform any type of help and took off with no regard.
 
At this time, authorities believe a pickup truck had been the type of vehicle involved in this deadly crash. In addition, officials found no signs of marked crosswalks in the area of where the accident occurred.
