1 Killed in Santa Monica Auto Accident on Pacific Coast Highway

SANTA MONICA, CA (May 1, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a tragic two-vehicle crash on Pacific Coast Highway killed 1 person.

The incident happened at around 3:10 p.m. in the 1000 block of Pacific Coast Highway, near the California Incline.

According to Santa Monica police Lt. Erika Aklufi, a southbound Toyota Camry T-Bones a northbound KIA that was attempting to make a left turn into Beach Lot Four North.

Moreover, responders transported eight occupants of the Kia and two occupants of the Camry to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. However, a passenger of the Kia was pronounced dead.

Furthermore, the crash closed the northbound lanes of PCH between the 900 and 1000 blocks.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
