Tragic Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 25 Kills 1 [Las Cruces, NM]

1 Person Dead in Las Cruces Auto Accident on Interstate 25

LAS CRUCES, NM (November 7, 2024) – Monday night, a tragic two-vehicle crash on Interstate 25 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 6:26 p.m. on Interstate 25.

According to reports, a Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office vehicle collided with a car that pulled out onto the freeway in front of the DASO vehicle.

Moreover, responders rushed a male passenger of the car to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Then, paramedics transported two officers and the female driver of the car to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Furthermore, authorities said the deputies responded to a different incident when the crash occurred.

The events leading to the crash remain unclear at this time. The public will be notified when additional information becomes available.

Due to limited information, the New Mexico State Police continued investigating the crash.
