Tragic Traffic Crash on Ranchester Drive Kills 2-Year-Old Boy [Houston, TX]

Houston Police Arrests Suspect in Deadly Hit-and-Run Crash near Bellaire Boulevard

Houston, TX (May 8, 2023) On Sunday evening, a 2-year-old boy was killed in a traffic crash on Ranchester Drive.

Houston police say that the deadly hit-and-run crash happened around 7:30 p.m. near Bellaire Boulevard and South Gessner Road.

Officials say that a car backing up from an apartment complex’s parking lot struck a child playing in the parking lot.

Authorities say that the driver fled the scene after the collision, however, officials believed that they have the suspect in custody.

Police say that the boy was immediately rushed to the hospital, however, the child succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.

Meanwhile, police say that the boy’s mother was in the parking lot at the time of the incident, however, she did not see the incident happen.
