San Jose, CA (May 22, 2023) On Sunday afternoon, a person was killed and several others were hurt in a traffic collision on Fruitdale Avenue.

According to the San Jose Police Department (SJPD), the fatal vehicle crash happened at about 1:38 p.m. near Fruitdale Avenue and Leigh Avenue.

Reports say that at 2 vehicles were wrecked in the crash, with one vehicle flipped over. Authorities confirmed that a person was pronounced dead at the scene, however, officials did not specify how many were injured in the fatal crash.
