3 Dead in Placer County Auto Accident on Vineyard Road and Cook Riolo Road

PLACER COUNTY, CA (May 29, 2023) – Sunday morning, a tragic single-vehicle crash on Vineyard Road and Cook Riolo killed 3 people.

The incident happened at about 1:50 a.m. on westbound Vineyard Road, just west of Cook Riolo Road.

According to reports, a car struck a power pole. As a result, the driver lost control of the vehicle and it overturned multiple times. Eventually, it struck a brick gate before stopping, south of the road.

When first responders arrived, they declared the three occupants dead at the scene.

CHP described the victims as 21-year-old men from Roseville.

Meanwhile, the authorities haven’t confirmed whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
