LA MARQUE, TX (May 24, 2023) – Monday night, a tragic single-vehicle crash on Interstate 45 near FM 1765 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. on Interstate 45 near FM 1765 and Delaney Street.

According to reports, a 2005 Ford Escape traveling at a high rate of speed lost control for still unknown reasons. Then, the SUV collided with a wall and rolled over multiple times before crashing down the bridge.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 26-year-old female driver of the SUV, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics rushed two 3-year-olds and two 6-year-olds to an area hospital with critical injuries.

Furthermore, officers found two car seats in the SUV but were unsure if seatbelts were worn at the time of the crash.
