Tragic Pedestrian Crash on Harbor Freeway Claims a Life [Los Angeles, CA]

Los Angeles, CA (December 28, 2024) On Thursday evening, a person was found dead after the tragic pedestrian crash on Harbor Freeway.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the fatal crash happened at 11:34 p.m. at 487 W. Avenue 26 and Figueroa Street.

Reports say that police are actively investigating the fatal collision involving a pedestrian in Cypress Park.

Authorities say that the the pedestrian lying in the roadway near the Harbor (110) Freeway.

Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department transported the victim to a hospital, where doctors pronounced them deceased. The identity, age, or gender of the pedestrian has not yet been released.

The driver of the sedan that struck the pedestrian stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. LAPD’s Central Traffic Division is working to determine the cause of the crash.
