GILROY, CA (September 17, 2023) – Saturday night, a tragic pedestrian crash on First Street Near Kern Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 900 p.m. on First Street, between Wren and Kern Avenues.

According to the Gilroy Police Department, a vehicle struck a man on an electric skateboard for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders pronounced the victim, a 34-year-old man, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, the vehicle driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
