1 Person Dead in Carmel Valley Pedestrian Accident on Almondwood Way and Carmel Knolls Drive

CARMEL VALLEY, CA (April 8, 2025) – Sunday night, a tragic pedestrian crash on Almondwood Way and Carmel Knolls Drive killed one person.

The incident happened at around 6:00 p.m. near the intersection of Almondwood Way in the 5000 block of Carmel Knolls Drive.

According to the San Diego Police Department, a westbound Lexus struck a male pedestrian who was walking a dog.

Moreover, responders rushed the victim to Scripps Health in La Jolla where he was later pronounced dead. Also, authorities said that the dog was transported to a veterinarian for treatment.

Furthermore, the driver of the Lexus remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified. 

Due to limited information, the San Diego Police Department continued investigating the crash.
