LVMPD Searching Suspect in State Street Hit-and-Run Accident
Las Vegas, NV (June 23, 2023) On Thursday evening, a man dies after getting hit by a vehicle in a pedestrian accident on Sahara Avenue.
According to the LVMPD, the fatal State Street accident happened at about 10:30 p.m. on E. Sahara Avenue at State Street.
Reports say that a speeding eastbound black 2013 BMW 328i collided with a silver Mercury Sable turning left from Sahara onto State.
The impact of the collision sent the BMW spinning while still moving eastward. Consequently, the passenger side of the vehicle struck a pedestrian, described as a man in his 30’s.
The BMW ended up in the middle of the street, the driver fled the scene on foot.
Officials pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene, while the driver of the Mercury sustained minor injuries.
LVMPD is searching for the suspect driver who remains at large.
