Injuries Reported in Fatal 3-Vehicle Collision on Highway 119
Taft, CA (June 1, 2023) On Wednesday morning, a head-on crash on Highway 119 left 1 dead and 2 others injured.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 3-vehicle collision happened at about 5:30 a.m. on Highway 119, east of Coles Levee.
Reports say that the collision involved an eastbound 2019 GMC Sierra, a westbound Ford F250, and a westbound 2005 GMC Sierra.
Officials say that the 2019 GMC Sierra veered into the opposite late and collided with the Ford F250. Authorities say that the 2019 GMC Sierra then collided head-on with the 2005 GMC Sierra.
Authorities pronounced the driver of the 2005 GMC Sierra dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics transported the other drivers to Kern Medical with major injuries.
CHP is investigating the fatal 3-vehicle collision and has not released further information at this time.
