BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 14, 2023) – Friday afternoon, a tragic 2-vehicle crash on Mc Cutchen Road and Mountain Ridge Drive killed 1 person.

The incident happened at around 4:19 pm at the intersection of Mc Cutchen Road and Mountain Ridge Drive.

According to reports, a westbound vehicle missed a stop sign and collided with another vehicle.

Moreover, officers confirmed that a young female passenger of the second vehicle died at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the second vehicle and a young male passenger to a hospital, both with moderate injuries. Also, the driver of the westbound vehicle sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Furthermore, authorities do not believe that speed, alcohol, or drugs played a role in the incident.
