BANNING, CA (March 9, 2020) – A big rig collision on Thursday morning stalled traffic on 10 Freeway in Banning.

According to reports, the collision between two big rig trucks caused a traffic back up stretching for more than five miles. Another factor that worsened the jam was the road construction projects amidst the incident.

The 11:45 p.m. crash led authorities to issue a SigAlert. However, the lanes reopened at 1:38 a.m.

No injuries were reported in the collision.

The reports also revealed that the incident happened on a road where construction crews have maintained the freeway’s two inside lanes for the 10 Freeway Tuneup closed. According to the reports, crews were replacing concrete and working on road improvements 24/7.

The bigger the vehicle you’re driving, the bigger your responsibility. Always keep in mind to follow the traffic rules to avoid causing or being involved in any accidents.
