SAN RAFAEL, CA (August 5, 2020) – Monday morning, a 2-car crash on the 580 Freeway in San Rafael stalled traffic.

The incident occurred at 7:50 a.m. on the westbound 580 Freeway on the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge.

By being a defensive driver, you can minimize the risks of car accidents.

Dealing With the 2-Car Crash on 580 Freeway

As common of an occurrence as they are, many people do not suspect what follows in the event of a car crash.

When driving, scan the road 1/2 mile to a full mile ahead to check whether there’s a possible hazard. Our bodies weren’t designed to travel at 50mph. Also, we were designed for speeds of less than 10mph. Thus, you need to learn to consciously break that natural instinct and focus farther ahead
