Drivers Hospitalized after Las Vegas Car Accident on Tropicana Avenue
LAS VEGAS, NV (May 8, 2020) – An injury collision led to traffic detours on Tropicana Avenue in the southeast Las Vegas Valley on May 6.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Frank Humel said that the car accident involved a sedan and a mid-sized SUV. The injury collision happened just after 7:00 p.m., on East Tropicana Avenue and Boulder Highway.
When the medical responders arrived, they transported both drivers to an area hospital. Meanwhile, the authorities shut down the surrounding area on Tropicana Avenue for a brief time. This action is to make way for the debris cleanup and preliminary investigation. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department traffic bureau currently handles the ongoing investigation.
