Frightening Traffic Crash Near De Anza Boulevard Results in Death [Saratoga, CA]

Saratoga, CA (November 29, 2024) On Thursday morning, a person was killed while 3 other people were injured after a horrifying traffic crash near De Anza Boulevard.

According to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal incident happened near South De Anza Boulevard and Stevens Creek Boulevard.

Reports say that a police chase early Thursday morning in Saratoga ended in tragedy, killing one boy and injuring three other minors.

Deputies attempted to stop the driver of a white Hyundai Elantra near South De Anza Boulevard and Stevens Creek Boulevard in Cupertino after identifying it as a stolen vehicle from San Jose. Instead of stopping, the driver, allegedly masked and wearing a hooded sweater, fled, leading deputies on a high-speed chase.

The pursuit ended around 3 a.m. when the Elantra crashed into a tree near Saratoga Los Gatos Road and Via Colina. The male passenger died at the scene, while two female passengers and the male driver sustained injuries and were hospitalized.

Authorities apprehended the driver after he fled on foot. Deputies also discovered an unloaded firearm magazine near the crash site.
