Deadly Traffic Accident on Interstate 215 Kills Robert Nira [Perris, CA]

Perris, CA (May 12, 2023) On Thursday morning, 44-year-old Robert Nira died in a traffic accident on Interstate 215.

CHP Says that the fatal auto-pedestrian collision happened around 1:40 a.m. on Southbound I-215 near 4th Street.

According to the CHP, a 2016 Subaru Outback in the fast lane struck Nira who was running westward on the interstate.

The impact of the crash sent Nira flying to the shoulder of the southbound lanes. Officials say that the driver of the SUV, identified as a 34-year-old Menifee man, stopped and called 911.

Officials say that the driver stayed at the scene and was not injured. Meanwhile, Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced Nira dead at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the fatal auto-pedestrian collision.
