According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), the horrific crash happened on US Highway 2.

Reports say that a worker is recovering after a car struck his work truck near Leavenworth.

Authorities say that the worker had parked the truck on the shoulder of US-2, between Leavenworth and Wenatchee, to assist with a disabled vehicle.

While he was inside the truck, another car collided with it.

Emergency responders transported the worker to the hospital, where he is expected to recover, although he will experience soreness for several days.

Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported. This marks the second time this month a WSDOT crew member has been hit while responding to an incident along this stretch of US-2.
