TRACY, CA – One Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on 205 Freeway at North MacArthur Drive

Car Hits Box Truck on 205 Freeway in Tracy, Fatality Reported

 
TRACY, CA (February 13, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a two-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning in Tracy.
 
The fatal crash happened around 2:21 a.m. on eastbound 205 Freeway at North MacArthur Drive off-ramp.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray sedan was traveling eastbound on the freeway at about 70 miles per hour, when it went off the roadway and crashed into a white Isuzu box truck that was disabled on the right shoulder.
 
Responding firefighters and paramedics found at least one fatality as a result of the crash. The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
 
The box truck sustained a broken tire and was towed for evidence along with the sedan.
 
It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
