Fatal Crash on Little Morongo Road Injures Driver
Desert Hot Springs, CA (September 25, 2021) – On Tuesday, a driver suffered injuries in a fatal crash on Little Morongo Road.
The head-on crash took place at about 10:46 p.m. between Dillon Road and Two Bunch Palms Trail.
Investigating officers said the Lexus was northbound on Little Morongo Road when its driver unsafely merged into the southbound lane to overtake another vehicle.
The Lexus subsequently crashed head-on into a southbound Toyota Corolla.
Rescuers rushed the man driving the Toyota Corolla to a hospital with major injuries.
On the other hand, the 1999 Lexus GS 300 driver, a 20-year-old Desert Hot Springs woman died at the accident scene.
Meanwhile, the authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were factors in the crash.
