FRESNO, CA (July 7, 2021) – Tuesday morning, authorities arrested Toney Johnson Jr after a DUI crash on Friant Road and Shepherd Avenue.
 
The Fresno police came to the scene just before 9:00 a.m. after reports of a vehicle running a red light. The vehicle then crashed into a pair of vehicles on Friant Road and Shepherd avenue. Afterward, the vehicle made a U-turn headed southbound on Friant Road.
 
According to investigators, some concerned motorists managed to follow the vehicle. After contacting the police, they blocked the suspect’s vehicle on Friant Road and Audobon Drive.
 
Eventually, the officers detained 57-year-old Toney Johnson Jr. Meanwhile, responders took a victim with minor injuries to an area hospital for treatment.
