23-Year-Old Man and 53-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Rollover Collision on Summerlin Parkway in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (April 27, 2020) – Thursday afternoon, Timothy McDaniel and Sergey Tipikin were killed in a rollover crash on Summerlin Parkway.
Some of the preliminary details were determined after a dashcam video of the rollover crash was presented. Emergency personnel arrived to the area around 3:30 p.m.
Officials revealed that 23-year-old McDaniel and 53-year-old Tipikin were inside a Cadillac STS, heading east on Summerlin Parkway.
Meanwhile, a white sedan was trying to change lanes when it partially entered the Cadillac’s path. As the white sedan veered, the Cadillac approached the sedan while speeding.
McDaniel then lost control of the car as he attempted to avoid colliding with the sedan. As a result, McDaniel veered off the road and entered the unpaved shoulder.
As the Cadillac overturned, the two unrestrained occupants, McDaniel and Tipikin, were ejected from the vehicle.
Authorities declared the victims dead at the scene, due to the extent of their condition. Reports also confirmed that the two victims were both residents of Alaska.
At this time, authorities believe that speeding played a role in the collision.
As the investigation remains ongoing, authorities urge witnesses of the crash to contact NHP at 702-486-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
Once available, more details will be given.
We send our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Timothy McDaniel and Sergey Tipikin.
