34-Year-Old Joshua Furister Arrested on State Route 94 Crash

 
Rancho San Diego, CA (March 01, 2021) – On Sunday, people were injured including the 34-year-old Joshua Furister in a vehicle crash on State Route 94.
 
The incident took place at about 10:52 a.m. in the 1400 block area.
 
Officers tried to stop a green Geo Metro for a traffic violation. However, Furister, the driver quickly sped westbound on State Route 94.
 
Afterward, Furister’s vehicle passed other vehicles across the double yellow lines and drove into oncoming traffic.
 
For this reason, authorities initiated a pursuit which traveled into the Rancho San Diego area.
 
Furister approached the intersection of Jamacha Road and Brabham Street and drove through a red light until he crashed with a black minivan.
 
Furister and his passenger, and the van’s single occupants were both injured in the crash
 
Right away, rescuers took all of them to an area hospital to be treated for non-fatal injuries.
 
Meanwhile, officers arrested Furister for felony reckless evading arrest and reckless driving.
 
Authorities will book Furister into custody after being treated at the hospital.
