Terry Tilton Killed, Chelsea Stiles Injured in Head-on Crash on Highway 227 [San Luis Obispo, CA]

1 Dead and 1 Injured in San Lous Obispo Car Crash on Highway 227

 
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (December 11, 2019) – A 72-year-old man died while a woman sustained injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 227.
 
On December 1 at around 6:00 p.m., 26-year-old Chelsea Stiles of Arroyo Grande drove a 2005 GMC north on Highway 227 south of Patchett Road. Meanwhile, 72-year-old Terry Tilton drove a 2013 Honda south on the highway.
 
The GMC drove into the southbound lane and crashed head-on with the Honda for an unidentified reason. Terry Tilton died at the scene. Meanwhile, Chelsea Stiles sustained moderate injuries and went to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, together with an 18-month-old girl who suffered injuries. CHP revealed that the girl also occupied Stiles’ car.
 
The police detained Chelsea Stiles on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
 
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
