Terry Campo Dies in Horrific Hit-and-Run on IH-35 [Odessa, TX]

Odessa, TX (January 29, 2025) On Saturday, 68-year-old Terry Campo was pronounced dead after getting injured in a horrific hit-and-run on IH-35.

According to Austin police (APD), the fatal incident happened at about 7:37 p.m. on December 30, 2024, in the 13800 block of North IH-35 SB.

Reports say that Campo suffered severe injuries in the three-vehicle crash has passed away.

Austin police reported that the driver of the first vehicle fled the scene, while emergency responders transported the driver and passenger of the second vehicle to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver and passenger of the third vehicle sustained minor injuries.

Authorities say that on January 25, Campo, the driver of the second vehicle, succumbed to her injuries. Authorities have not identified the driver of the first vehicle, who remains at large.

Police urge anyone with information to contact APD’s Vehicular Homicide Unit at 512-974-8111. A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.
