45-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Collision in Anderson
ANDERSON, CA (April 2, 2020) – Early Monday morning, 45-year-old Teesha McCarley was killed a pedestrian crash on Highway 273.
Authorities received reports of the accident around 3:00 a.m., on Highway 273. Dispatchers arrived to the area near Anderson Avenue, shortly after.
According to reports, McCarley was walking north on the highway when a vehicle struck her. Due to the impact of the collision, McCarley was pronounced dead on scene.
Meanwhile, additional information about the driver and the events leading up to the collision remain unavailable.
Authorities temporarily shut down the road for around one hour during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
An investigation to determine why McCarley was walking on the highway at the time of the collision remains ongoing. Once available, more information will be released.
