Santa Clarita Valley, CA (January 6, 2025) On Saturday evening, a 14-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a horrific traffic collision on Oak Ridge Drive.

According to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, the collision on Railroad Avenue happened at about 9:49 p.m.

Reports say that the 14-year-old motorcycle rider died at the hospital after being trapped under a vehicle following a collision on Railroad Avenue and Oak Ridge Drive Saturday night.

Emergency responders, including L.A. County firefighters and sheriff’s deputies, were dispatched at for a reported vehicle-versus-pedestrian incident, Supervising Fire Dispatcher Martin Rangel stated. Upon arrival, first responders identified the pedestrian as a motorcyclist involved in the collision and trapped beneath the vehicle.

The teenager was transported to the nearest trauma center, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities found no evidence of reckless driving or impairment by the vehicle’s driver and made no arrests at the scene.

Family members remembered the young motorcyclist with heavy hearts. His grandmother expressed profound grief, describing him as an older brother to three younger siblings, including twins born just weeks ago. A cousin highlighted his love for soccer, video games, and dirt biking, noting his recent interest in the engineering side of the sport.

The L.A. County Medical Examiner’s office is withholding the names of the deceased and his relatives pending official confirmation.
