13-Year-Old Boy Injured in Car Accident in Carson City

 
CARSON CITY, NV (August 26, 2019) – On Monday night, a 13-year-old juvenile sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on 5th Street.
 
According to the sheriff’s department, the crash happened around 7:25 PM near Saliman Street. As per reports, a vehicle struck the victim. However, the cause of the accident and details surrounding the victim are currently unknown.
 
The Carson City Fire Department arrived at the scene shortly after. After that, paramedics transported the teen via ambulance to the Carson City Airport. Eventually, he was airlifted to the trauma center in Renown Medical Center in Reno.
 
The victims identity has not yet been released to the public.
 
The surrounding area closed for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened. In addition, no other details regarding the accident have been disclosed to the public.
