Teen Hurt in Fatal ATV Crash on Clark County Route K [Luray, MO]

Luray, MO (August 3, 2024) On Thursday afternoon, a 13-year-old Luray boy was hurt, while a 16-year-old male driver from Luray was killed in a horrific ATV crash on Clark County Route K.

According to the MSHP, the deadly ATV wreck happened around 4:25 p.m. on Clark County Route K, a half mile north of Luray.

Reports say that the ATV the teens were riding veered off the roadway and crashed into trees. Officials say that both teens were not wearing safety devices.

Officials pronounced the 16-year-old dead at the scene, while the 13-year-old was airlifted to University Hospital in Iowa City for treatment of serious injuries.

Authorities are investigating the fatal crash and have not released additional information at this time.
