Fatal Rollover Crash on Highway 127 in Tecopa

 
TECOPA, CA (April 8, 2019) – One person was killed following a rollover crash Monday night in Tecopa, CHP officials said.
 
The fatal crash happened just before 6:00 p.m. on Highway 127 near Ibex Spring Road.
 
According to an initial dispatch, a dark gray Honda Accord was traveling northbound on the highway when it overturned for unknown reasons. Multiple other vehicles, including two semi trucks, stopped in the area after the crash but it is unknown if they were involved.
 
A male occupant in the Honda was reportedly trapped inside the car and appeared to have head injuries, but still conscious.
 
An air ambulance was requested to the scene to assist the rescue operation.
 
A short time after the incident, officials confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
Further details, including the identity of the deceased, were not immediately available. The incident remains under investigation.
