Taylor Daniels Dies, Nevin Daniels Injured in Car Crash on Bush Point Road

 
Freeland, WA (July 23, 2020) – On Monday, South Whidbey teenager Taylor Daniels was killed in a 2-car crash on Bush Point Road.
 
The Washington State Patrol said the 17-year-old Taylor Daniels of Clinton died after being airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. While, Nevin Daniels, 19, also of Clinton got injured. The medics team rushed him to Providence Hospital in Everett for treatment.
 
Taylor Daniels was driving a 1993 Geo Prizm on Bush Point Road and stopped at the intersection of State Highway 525. Then, he turned left in front of a 2017 Ford F450 pickup truck which was pulling a flatbed trailer on the highway.
 
The pickup truck driver was John Nelson, 40, and of Warden. He was then traveling north.
 
Moreover, John Nelson did not sustain injuries, nor any of his four passengers. They are Megan Nelson, 37, and three children, ages 2, 8, and 11.
 
Though, the trooper’s reported that the 11-year-old boy was transported to WhidbeyHealth Medical Center.
 
The official report states the cause of the accident was failure to yield. Drugs and alcohol did not play any part in the incident.
