Tara Cheatham and Marcelo Lopez Critically Injured on Warm Springs Road Crash
Las Vegas, NV (February 25, 2021) – On Monday, 30-year-old Tara Cheatham and 21-year-old Marcelo Lopez were critically injured in a vehicle crash on Warm Springs Road.
The road accident took place at about 7 a.m. near Arville Street.
An officer tried to stop a 2008 Lexus ES 350 for driving recklessly near Decatur Boulevard but Cheatham continued to speed on.
Later on, the trooper stopped chasing Cheatham’s vehicle after it ran through a red light and sped away.
Furthermore, Cheatham tried to pass another vehicle while after driving off from the trooper.
Unfortunately, her car crashed into the car in front of her, and two other vehicles driving westbound. Cheatham and four other people were injured in the accident.
Right away, rescuers took Cheatham and Lopez to University Medical Center’s trauma center where they remained in critical condition.
Moreover, three other people suffered minor injuries in the accident.
For this reason, officers urged motorists across the valley to slow down.
Apparently, the authorities were no longer chasing Cheatham when the crash happened.
Meanwhile, detectives continue to investigate the accident. They did not mention suspicion of impairment as a possible cause of the crash.
Always follow the recommended driving speed.
Dealing With Auto Accidents
Roadways, while scrupulously created and mapped for efficient travel, are one of the most dangerous settings.
Thus, it is crucial that everyone remain calm in order to properly handle the immediate aftermath of an automobile collision.
Here are the things that we need to do in case of a vehicle accident:
Before anything else, seek medical attention if you have been hurt.
Then, get to a safe place to prevent further damage or injury.
Also, collect as much information as possible: insurance and contact information of people involved in the accident, pictures/videos of vehicles involved, etc.
Do not forget to file a police report or incident report by calling 911.
Finally, hire an experienced personal injury attorney from Sweet Lawyers.
The most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash is hiring a personal injury attorney.
