Tanner Fitzhugh Suspect in Two Hit-and-Run Crashes on Point East Drive

 
Rancho Cordova, CA (February 19, 2021) – On Tuesday, police arrested 22-year-old Tanner Fitzhugh of Rancho Cordova in two hit-and-run crashes in Rancho Cordova.
 
The first hit-and-run crash happened in the morning near Mather Field Road and Rockingham Drive.
 
Authorities said Fitzhugh took off by the time they arrived at the scene. Luckily, traffic cameras identified the car as a silver Dodge Durango.
 
Later on, a hit-and-run crash happened on Point East Drive. Again, the suspect vehicle was identified as a silver Dodge Durango.
 
This time, they were able to get the driver’s license plate and investigators were able to identify the driver.
 
When officers arrived at Fitzhugh’s residence, they located the vehicle was inside an open garage. It has the same markings that were seen in the traffic camera video.
 
Authorities arrested Fitzhugh. He is now facing several charges and authorities impounded his vehicle.
