Tammy Scott Dies in Collision near Eloika Lake Road

 
DEER PARK, WA (December 11, 2018) – On Tuesday afternoon, one person was killed in an accident on Highway 2.
 
The deceased victim was identified as 49-year-old Tammy Scott of Mead.
 
According to Washington State Patrol, the incident occurred around 3:30 PM near Eloika Lake Road.
 
Officials stated that a Honda Civic, driven by Scott, was traveling northbound when it lost control, spun out several times, and entered the southbound traffic before being struck by a 1997 Ford Explorer.
 
First responders arrived at the crash site and pronounced Scott dead at the scene. The driver of the Explorer, 58-year-old Robert Plasterer, and his passenger, 60-year-old Charles Todd, both of Elk, suffered minor injuries. They were not transported to the hospital.
 
Authorities believe that the icy and snowy road are what caused the crash. The highway was closed while clearing operations and preliminary investigation took place in the area. The roadway reopened around 7:20 PM.
 
No additional information has been released to the public, as the investigation continues.
