Tragic SUV-Motorcycle Collision on Highway 101 Results in Fatality [McKinleyville, CA]

Michael Ruiz Involved in Deadly 2-Vehicle Accident near North Bank Road

McKinleyville, CA (July 22, 2023) On Friday afternoon, an SUV-motorcycle collision on Highway 101 claimed resulted in fatality.

According to the CHP, the deadly 2-vehicle accident happened around 12:42 p.m. on the Central Avenue exit of Highway 101 near North Bank Road.

Reports say that first responders from Humboldt Bay Fire, Arcata Fire, and Arcata Ambulance found a motorcyclist and an occupant from a white Nissan Rogue SUV on the ground.

Officials say that both vehicles suffered moderate to heavy damages. The Yamaha rider’s identity is currently being withheld.

CHP is investigating the deadly McKinleyville accident.
