LAPD Officer Hospitalized after Getting Struck by SUV in Crash on Crenshaw and Adams Boulevards
Jefferson Park, CA (February 26, 2021) – On Wednesday evening, a crash on Crenshaw and Adams Boulevards involving an SUV left an LAPD officer injured.
The incident took place on February 24 on Crenshaw and Adams Boulevards at about 9:15 p.m.
According to a report, the motorcycle officer arrived in the area after receiving a backup call. A bystander captured the incident through a video showing a silver SUV crashing into the officer’s motorcycle and a cruiser parked next to it.
As a result, the officer sustained injuries from the crash. Paramedics transported him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The severity of the injuries has not been identified.
As of Thursday morning, reports said the officer was in stable condition.
Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV stopped after the collision. Officers later took him into custody.
