2 People Seriously Hurt After SUV Falls From Overpass Causing Multi-Car Collision on Highway 99

 
Turlock, CA (August 13, 2020) – On Thursday morning, an SUV fell 20 feet from an overpass and left two people seriously injured in Highway 99 multi-car crash.
 
Turlock Police Department reported that the crash happened on August 13 just before 8 a.m.
 
According to the report, the series of incidents started when a tan-colored SUV was seen driving recklessly around the area. Then, the first incident took place when the SUV fell 20 feet from West Canal Drive overpass onto the southbound lane of Highway 99.
 
Subsequently, a tractor-trailer struck the SUV and pushed it into the fast lane where it was struck again by a sedan.
 
There has been no official report of what caused the collision.
 
Furthermore, the two occupants of the SUV sustained serious injuries and emergency personnel took them to the hospital. Details about the current condition of the two patients have not been released. However, the report said they are expected to survive.

The extent of the crash leads to major traffic delays as police closed the southbound lanes of Highway 99 for investigation.
 
Apart from that, another incident was reported in the northbound lanes.
