Susan McBride Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Marconi Avenue [Sacramento, CA]

45-Year-Old Woman Identified as Woman Hit and Killed by Car near Juliesse Avenue

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 31, 2019) – Authorities identified 45-year-old Susan McBride as the woman fatally struck by a car near Juliesse Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a driver was in the eastbound lane on Marconi Avenue when it spotted McBride standing in the lane wearing all black clothing. The vehicle swerved in an attempt to avoid the pedestrian but failed.
 
Emergency responders accordingly performed CPR to the victim. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fatal crash. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
