STUDIO CITY, CA – 2 Critically Injured in Crash on Highway 101 at Lankershim Boulevard

Late Evening Collision in Studio City Leaves Two People in Critical Condition

 
STUDIO CITY, CA (May 14, 2019) – Two people were critically injured following a traffic collision late Tuesday evening in Studio City.
 
The crash was reported at 10:26 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 101 at Lankershim Boulevard. At least two vehicles were involved.
 
Responding firefighters worked to free three people trapped in one of the vehicles. All three rescued victims were taken to the hospital. Two of them were in critical condition, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
 
A SigAlert was issued until about midnight for the first, second and third lanes of the southbound Hollywood Freeway and the first northbound lane of the freeway at Lankershim Boulevard.
 
It is unknown if intoxication was a factor in the crash. An investigation is still ongoing.
