1 Killed Las Vegas Pedestrian Accident on North Grand Canyon Drive
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 1, 2021) – Tuesday night, authorities arrested Steven Ordorica after a fatal DUI crash on West Cheyenne Avenue.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. Moreover, it occurred at the intersection of West Cheyenne Avenue and North Grand Canyon Drive.
Reports revealed that a pedestrian ran into the road outside a marked crosswalk and against the traffic lights. Then, the pedestrian was struck by a white 2019 Ford F-450.
Furthermore, responders transported the male pedestrian to University Medical Center. However, he was later pronounced dead an hour after the incident.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford, 34-year-old Steven Ordorica sustained no injuries in the crash. Ordorica remained at the scene.
Also, authorities arrested Ordorica on suspicion of DUI after he failed a field sobriety test.
Furthermore, the crash closed Eastbound Cheyenne at Grand Canyon.
