Accident on the 2400 Block of East Hillcrest Drive Kills Janine Biede and Steven Cotts
Thousand Oaks, CA (August 7, 2020)– A two-vehicle crash occurred on East Hillcrest Drive left Janine Biede dead and Steven Cotts with fatal injuries.
On August 6 at about 1:49 p.m., officials responded in the area of East Hillcrest Drive and Quinta Vista Road.
At the scene, officials found two heavily damaged vehicles from the wreck of the incident. The extent of the crash left Ms. Biede trapped inside her vehicle.
Authorities pronounced that her dead by 2 p.m., while the other victim, Mr. Cotts, required immediate medical attention.
Later on, the Ventura County Sheriff’s office revealed that Steven Cotts succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The investigation also prompted the closure of the Hillcrest Drive for several hours from Conejo School Road to Skyline Drive.
The events leading up to the collision are still unknown. No further details were immediately available.
