Father and Teenage Son Killed in Car Accident at Poway High School

 
San Diego, CA (February 14, 2021) – On Friday, a man and his teenage son were killed in a deadly crash on Espola Road.
 
The fatal crash took place after 7 p.m., off the north parking lot of Poway High School.
 
A Mercedes was traveling south when Steve Pirolli, 54, and Stephen,14, pulled out of the parking lot in a sedan, turning left into the northbound lanes.
 
The Mercedes driver, a 19-year-old, violently broadsided the father’s sedan.
 
Unfortunately, the authorities pronounced the Steve dead at the scene.
 
On the other hand, rescuers rushed his son to Rady Children’s Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
Meanwhile, responders also took the 19-year-old Mercedes driver to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido. The driver is expected to survive.
 
Furthermore, authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the accident.
 
Officers closed Espanola Road as they investigated the scene.
